To check out the new updates, click the “New Look” button in the navigation bar. For now, you may switch the preview on or off at any time. When the new look is completed, we will permanently retire the old view. Stay tuned for updates each month.

**NOTE: Please note that our new look is only available on modern browsers. Please use IE9+, Firefox, or Chrome to check out these updates

Feature Enhancement: Regions – Do you manage a large number of properties in Building Engines? Do you ever have trouble finding a particular property in dropdown lists? Do you find yourself wishing for an easier way search and view your data by region? If you answered yes to any of these, our new, improved region configuration may be for you.

New in this release, Building Engines allows you to organize and divide your portfolio into regions and (if applicable) sub-regions to make finding, filtering, and searching for data faster and easier.

Benefits for regional users include:

  • Filter and Search by Region – Regional users will now see a convenient Region filter above all building selectors in the application. Simply select a region to narrow the list of available buildings and help you find the exact property you’re looking for. Additionally, region filters have been added to search pages across the application allowing for easy searching of all data by region
  • Configure Regional Accounts –Regional users can save time hunting for buildings to link to an employee’s account by linking users directly to one or more regions. Regional users are automatically associated to all buildings within their selected regions, including any added to their regions in the future. Note only regional users may create other regional accounts
  • Improved Building Multi-Selects – Our new easy-to-use building multi-select tool allows regional users to filter and find buildings by region in all places where many buildings may be selected. Simply click the list of currently selected buildings to open the editor, filter to a region, select the buildings you’d like, filter to another region and repeat. Save and close your selections when complete. No more accidentally losing your work because you forgot to hold down the CTRL key!
