Employee Application

All new features available exclusively in Building Engines’ New Look

To check out the new updates, click the “New Look” button in the navigation bar. For now, you may switch the preview on or off at any time. When the new look is completed, we will permanently retire the old view. Stay tuned for updates each month.

Feature Enhancement: Preventive Maintenance – Cancelled Status – Does your building have PM tasks that were not completed or created in error? Wondering how to get them out of your way while making it clear no work was done? Cancelled status is here to save the day. New in this release, Property Management users can now cancel PM tasks at any time, and from any status. Cancelled PM tasks can still be located in searches, but will not factor into any reports, invoices, or metrics – keeping your service record as accurate as possible. PM tasks can be cancelled by selecting to Change Status, or cancel many tasks at once with our Change Status Bulk Action available from the PM Task List

Feature Enhancement: Work Orders – Extended Suite Availability – Have you ever created a work order only to be frustrated that you couldn’t select the exact location of the issue? With new extended suite availability, you never have to feel that frustration again. Beginning in this release, employees creating self-reported work orders will find that resource spaces, vacant tenant suites, and non-tenant areas are available in the Suite/Floor selector. Users with large buildings should try the easy-to-use type ahead function to quickly locate specific spaces. Start tracking work for your extended suites today, available in all places where work orders can be created

Feature Enhancement: COI – Tenant Compliance Override allows users to create tenant-specific rules for Certificate of Insurance compliance in accordance with the terms of their lease. In this release, this override has been extended to include both Coverage Component requirements as well as custom compliance questions, allowing users to fully customize the compliance requirements for any tenant company

Feature Enhancement: Resource Scheduling – The tenant view of Resource Scheduling calendars has been updated to include setup and cleanup time in the display of all saved appointments. This provides a more accurate view of resource availability to tenant users making reservations

Feature Enhancement: Resource Scheduling – An option has been added to Meeting and Freight Area configuration to allow for flat-rate billing for reservations. If you use this option, tenants will be charged a flat rate for any approved reservation, regardless of length

Feature Enhancement: Incident Tracking – Incident Print has been updated to include any added data for Persons, Items, Autos or Emergency Services

Feature Enhancement: Security – A column for floor/suite has been added to the Expected Visitors page, allowing security guards to quickly sort or filter visitors by floor or suite

Feature Enhancement: Reports – Building and Issue Type multi-selects have been added to the Charges (Basic) report available in the Invoices section of Reporting

  • Work Order – Regional users will now be available to be assigned to work orders

NEW LOOK

  • WO/COI/Incidents – Custom field data has been updated to display more consistently and readably across all areas of the application
  • Building Settings – A text color control has been added to the text editor in Issue Specific Notes
  • Purchase Order – Users without Accounting Admin privileges can now create purchase orders from saved work orders
  • Accounting – The Tax Rate field has been updated to accept values up to the thousandth decimal place
  • Work Order- The Proactive Report checkbox has been added to the create and edit work order pages
  • Preventive Maintenance – The available date range for Equipment Purchase Date has been extended as far back as 1865
  • Preventive Maintenance – Category search on the Equipment Task List will now filter results correctly, and category data will now correctly display in the results grid
  • Preventive Maintenance –The Expected Hours field on a scheduled PM task will now accept values including a decimal
  • Preventive Maintenance – Share has been added to all fired PM Tasks
  • Preventive Maintenance – The template link from an equipment profile will now correctly navigate to the associated template record
  • Inspections – Inspections in a “Not Started” status will now appear as bold on the Inspections Dashboard
  • Reports – Users may now preview multiple pages of reports without exporting the data

OTHER

  • Recurring Work Orders – Recurring Work Orders will now follow the specific frequency for which they are scheduled and will no longer skip their second scheduled occurrence
  • Employee Admin – Duplicate rows for user accounts will no longer appear when accounts are edited
  • Employee Admin – All employee accounts can once again be successfully inactivated
  • Employee Admin – A regional user may now successfully remove buildings from building-level users’ accounts
  • Vendor Admin – All vendor Companies can once again be successfully inactivated
  • Vendor Admin – Buildings Serviced can now successfully be removed from vendor companies
  • Tenant Admin – Regional users can now add additional buildings to tenant employee accounts
  • Resource Scheduling – Conflicting resource reservations will no longer be automatically approved. New requests overlapping with an existing, approved reservation will be denied
  • Work Order – Applying a bulk status update to work orders will no longer remove saved non-system tenant user information
  • Inspections – Inspections Print with Answers will no longer cut off answers to select questions
  • Inspections – Tenant Inspections will now correctly appear on the Inspections Dashboard
  • COI – Regional users can now successfully view COI information on the Vendor Company Profile page in the Old Look
  • Inspections – The option to remove images from inspections has been restored
  • Security – An error will no longer appear when columns are adjusted, or search filters are applied to the Expected Visitors search page
  • Reports – Regional users can now select specific assignees while running the Employee Hours report
  • Reports – Regional users can now run the WO Detail Summary with Images report
  • Reports – The WO Detail Summary with Images report will no longer truncate the original details of work orders
