Use the attached spreadsheet to add any Labor Rates, Materials, Markups, or Taxes into the Accounting module. Follow the instructions below and email your completed spreadsheet back to your Client Services contact to be loaded into the application.
Instructions:
Labor Rates - Add the names of any Labor Rates your team uses under Column A, followed by the rate charged in Column B. Units are typically listed per Hour. If you add Taxes and/or Markup charges to your Labor Rates, place the name of the specific Tax or Markup that you want added. These tax or markup names should match those given on the additional tabs of the spreadsheet.
Materials - Add the names of any Materials your team uses under Column A, followed by the rate charged in Column B. Choose a category in Column C from the given list to help organize your materials in the application. If you add Taxes and/or Markup charges to your Materials, place the name of the specific Tax or Markup that you want added. These tax or markup names should match those given on the additional tabs of the spreadsheet.
Markups - Add the name of the Markup into column A, followed by the whole number percentage of the markup charged in Column B. Example: Typing "15" in the cell will equate to a 15% markup. If you Tax your markups, place the name of the specific Tax that you want added on to this charge. Finally, indicate whether this Markup applies to all Labor Rates, Materials, or Both in Column D.
Taxes - Place the name of the Building in column A, followed by the Tax Rate name and percentage charged. If multiple buildings need a tax rate, place each new building in it's own row. The Effective Dates manage the given period of time that this rate is current and active. You are required to input an "Effective From" date (ex. 3/1/2016). Place an "Effective To" date if you want to put a range in place. Leaving this field blank will let the rate continue on into the future.
**Important Note: Many pages include a Charge Code column. This information only required if your team is implementing an official Accounting Integration. Your Implementation Project Manager or Client Success Manager will confirm with you that this column needs to be filled in.
