Creating an Equipment Inspection

This section describes the process of creating an Equipment Inspection.

To create an Equipment Inspection Task:

  1. Click Go To > Preventive Maintenance > Equipment Search.
  2. Use the SEARCH and/or column filters to locate the equipment.
  3. Click the equipment NAME.
  4. Click the TASKS tab.
  5. Hover over the and select New Inspection Task.

  6. Enter an inspection NAME, NEXT (fire) DATE, COMPLETE IN DAYS, FREQUENCY, and ASSIGNEE.
  7. Enter the inspection STEPS.

  8. Click SAVE TASK to finish the setup.

 

Equipment Inspection Workflow

After an equipment inspection fires, you have the option of completing the inspection from your desktop, or via the BE-Mobile App. This section reviews the workflow from the desktop version.

  1. Equipment inspection questions are created with a Pass/Fail format.
  1. If a task is marked as “Fail”, the task prompts the inspector to create an Unscheduled PM Task. The following is an example of an unscheduled task.

  2. As each piece of equipment is inspected, the results are logged individually in the equipment history, as well as the Preventive Maintenance category in the Reports section of the application.
